Foot care, Chelmsford, foot problems solved....
Toe Zone Foot Health Clinic is Chelmsford's new haven for people with problem feet. It is operated by Katherine Wicks who has lived in the Chelmsford area for more than 30 years. Katherine gained a Diploma in Chiropody in 1999 with The Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists in London, and has developed a wide variety of skills and experience in foot health.
The clinic at Widford Grove is bright and airy and has a fresh, relaxing feel to it. All the equipment is new and is specially sought to keep the clinic environment as clean and sterile as possible.
Upon making an appointment a confidential medical history will be taken, so please make a note of any medications that you have. There is an initial foot analysis where Katherine will study the condition of the feet and pin-point problem areas. Painful feet can affect our ability to enjoy the most basic activities in our daily lives. Thankfully, many common foot problems can be treated at Toe Zone.
A full foot treatment takes approximately 45 minutes and you then have the option of finishing off your treatment with a nail polish.
Manicures are available at Toe Zone to compliment your foot treatment.
A manicure consists of:
- Filing and shaping the nails using a crystal nail file
- Cuticles tidied
- Application of a moisturiser.
- A polish of your choice from the collection at Toe Zone or bring your own if you have a favourite
Please note manicures are only available on natural nails - not nail extensions or false nails.

Paraffin Wax Treatment
If you suffer with very dry skin on your hands or feet a paraffin wax treatment will leave them feeling soft and supple.
An intensive moisturiser is applied to the skin then the hands/feet are dipped in warm paraffin wax and covered with mittens/towels. This is then left for approxomately 10-15 minutes. The warm paraffin opens up the pores and allows the moisturiser to penetrate deep into the skin.
The wax is then easily removed to leave you with soft, supple and healthier looking skin.
Regular treatments can help to alleviate dryness and cracks. It is also thought to relieve the aches and pains associated with arthritis.
If you would like to book a paraffin wax treatment with your foot treatment or manicure please ask when booking your appointment as more time will need to be allocated.
